Hi Canada, have you been on the job hunt market lately? Have you been laid off recently? How is your job hunt doing? What are your views about the job market next year?

yeah I think that's really how things work here in Canada. networking with people is very important especially when you're looking for a job.

hi cher913, what i usually do is go out and meet with people. go to social networking events. engage in community work or volunteer opportunities. if you're active in church, then might as well use your network in the church. look for free seminars related to your hubby's field and attend to it. those are some things that I engage in to help broaden my network. and btw, don't forget to always bring your business card to hand over to whomever you can network with.

Things arent too bad here in BC. A freind of mine (who didnt graduate highschool) struggled really hard to find a part time job in ratail. Whereas another friend who is getting her degree in in early childhood education turned down a well paying jobs with benefits to go for another degree in special education. I've still got a couple years in school and I'm trying to line up an internship at a lab for a professor at my university. So generally the job hunts gets easier with education.
