do you know any sites where people can earn online?

I am having a hard time looking for sites and ways to earn extra money. I just resigned from my full time job and has been searching the net for different sites to help me out. the only site I know is odesk, I have earned a few bucks there but it is not enough and the competition is really tight. I am currently a freelance writer, but would like to try another online job. Any ideas you have in mind?

I am a freelance writer too. Writing has been my hobby since my high school days, and is still is. I am writing for a number of sites, articles, short stories, reviews, commentaries, and so on. You may already know this site, but in case you still do not yet, you may want to take a look at this site: work-online.org.uk This is a UK site, and you can write short stories there.
