Ever thought why the rate of marriages keeps dropping unlike divorces?

It is no longer news to many that, everyday divorce cases are filed in various courts and it seems like the rate at which people especially the younger generation are getting married is dropping by the day as compared to divorces. So, what can be the reason(s) for these?

I think people are getting more independent than ever. Another is the cost of getting married is very high in China. The groom's family should prepare the apartment for the bride which is so expensive now, needless to say the cost of the wedding itself. Third maybe people are afraid of shouldering the responsibilities for setting up a relationship or a family. Not brave enough?
