Death of broadcast TV

I read somewhere that local broadcast TV stations are losing so much advertising revenue, that soon there will no longer be free TV. Already most people have some type of cable or satellite TV. I miss the days when you simply went to the store, bought a TV and plugged it in. Now if you don't have cable or a box, you can't get even the simplest channels. This sucks big time. How many agree?

I heard this morning that Fox Broadcast stations are asking Comcast for cable fees like some of the premium channels. If this goes through, I'm sure others will follow and our premiums for cable service will skyrocket. Comcast is also threatening to block all Fox channels on Jan 1st if there is no resolution.
