I have been trying to email my resumes out to prospective employees and well lately i have learned if i find out there email addresses and just email my resume from my computer and not through like monster jobs or such like that. they cannot open the resume. they keep saying please try to download as a pdf file. well i try but unfortantely vista is not set up like this. ...... any suggestions?

Hi Fire, Vista is not available all over and the vista's microsoft works (MS Works) is not compatible with microsoft office(MS office) old version. Hence when you are opening a document in word with help of vista MS works, it will not open in MS O.
So save document in .doc file - mean "Save As" the file in .doc extention. When you save the MS work in ".doc " document then ask those people to "open with" .doc program.
I faced the problem that's why i could tell you but i have not experimented with pdf file. Sorry..
