What is the difference for ALL THE BEST and BEST OF LUCK

hi friends, i wants the difference for the all the best and the best of luck......i know about it a little that i was know by telling my friends and i want to know is it was right with my my lot people,all the best means that it will be said when we are going for any exams like that and best of luck will be used when we are going for any important works.If u people know anything more about this please help me out.

I see both to mean the same thing to me. It's basically wishing someone well no matter how you cut it. At least that was how I always saw thinks. I thanked people all the same if either comment was thrown my way. Someone wishing a positive outcome, its just that the words are rather different.
