nfl playoff outlook!

The final week of the NFL has finished and we have seen many matches that will be repeated this upcoming Saturday and Sunday. This is my breakdown and prediction for the first playoffs games. New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals We saw these two teams clash on Sunday Night Football and I must say the outcome was suprising. A 37-0 shutout victory by the Jets helping them clinch a playoff birth. However, I fear that next week will be much different for the Jets. The Bengals didn't have anything to play for and were bound to play a first round matchup since San Diego and Indy already had the first two spots earning them the bye week. I think next week the game is much more competetive which will earn the Bengals a trip to the next round with a 27-24 victory over the Jets. Baltimore at New England If you look at the statistics on paper, offensively the Patriots are a superior team. Lets face it they have Tom Brady and Randy Moss along with a running game that can finally compliment them a bit. Defensively, well the Ravens have the advantage. They have veteran guys unlike the Patriots who have at times struggled defensively against teams including this past week when they blew yet another fourth quarter lead over the Texans. Brady is banged up with a broken rib while Welker is gone for a while with the torn acl and mcl injury. In saying that, I don't think the Patriots have it in them this year for a title run. I expect a low scoring game with the final score being 17-13 Ravens beating the Pats. Green Bay at Arizona Arizona was another team today who will also be facing the same opponent next week. The game is the same as this week, but we will see a Kurt Warner who is going to get more playing time along with all the other players who saw limited action. So this victory by the Packers won't be by such a large margin next week but still a sufficient amount winning 28-10 over the Cardinals. Eagles at Cowboys So today we saw a Cowboys shutout over the Eagles. Now coming into this game I figured whoever won this game would more than likely win the following week game in a rematch of the two teams. To my own suprise the team I thought that would win didn't today. I felt the Eagles were the better team this far into the season however, I am mistaken. The Dallas Cowboys are the team to beat right now. No team in the NFC has as much credability to it then Dallas now beating two Playoff teams in the last three weeks. A closer game next week, but a Cowboy victory of 24-17 over the Eagles.
