Hello friends In our place normally the sun is very hot and always sweating and so we apply some sunscreen when we go out for some purpose. My father will hold an umbrella and children wear caps to protect from the rays of sun. What will you do when you go out in the sun? Apply sunscreen lotion, wear a cap or any other method to avoid hot sunrays

Aloe Vera - a moisturiser - Aloe Vera gel is an all purpose gel that takes care of every type of skin problem
I wear sun glasses and a hat to cover my head. I never apply anythig on my face as most of the time I avoid going out in the hot sun and I dont feel comfortable applyiong any type of cream anyway, except some aloe vera gel taken straight from the plant which is a moisturiser.

Hi allknowing Sun glasses itself is enough to take care of the eyes from the UV Rays and hat to protect the head from the sun. Don't you even apply some talc to your face while going out? amazing . Generally I saw people applying both moisterising cream and talc on the face while going out. I will apply some sunscreen and talc while going out. When I am at home I apply just aloe vera gel taken straight from the plant and do not apply talc or cream as I do not like them but want to remain natural at home

Hi vathsala! I would better not venture out in scroching sun, till it is very essential to go out.. Back to your question, if I need to go out, I would wear my dark sunglasses during day time and if I am riding my bike I would invariably wear helmet to protect myself. I normally do not use suncreen lotions as I am not sure whether these kind of lotions really give us some kind of protection or not.

I can understand, protecting your skin is better than getting into trouble at a later stage. You are doing the right thing.

Hi Deepak I know about Delhi weather and indeed it is very hot during summer season. You are doing right thing by wearing sun glasses to protect your eyes and wearing helmet, for the protection of your head. But I use sunscreen lotions on the face as i am allergic to sun and start developing freckles very soon.

I always apply 'melascreen', a sunscreen lotion when I go out in the hot sun. This lotion not only protects me from sun rays but it adds softness to my skin. The pulling sensation will not be there in the face and the fragrance will be pleasant.

It is great indeed to hear about melascreen, which not only protects your skin from the dangerous UV Rays but also gives softness to your skin. Surely I will give it a try soon.

Hi dear, I will prefer to use an umbrella than sun screen lotion. I think sun screen lotion may work for the first two hours (I read it like that) and it is not possible for me to apply the lotion in between work. Since my office work not demanding out doors work, it won’t really a problem for me. Then also I use an umbrella when coming to office in the morning in summer season.

Hi sreekala You are doing the right thing by using an umbrella. I rarely use sunscreen though I possess one because I rarely go out in the sun. That too if i rush in a hurry, I will forget all about the sunscreen. OK dear thanks for responding

Hi, Balu Actually I thought I am the only person who is interested in farming, gardens, nature and plants. But you seems to be a master in that field and maintaining your own plantation business and enjoying every bit of it along with the fresh air and beautiful nature, ofcourse with the variety of caps too

Hi, I generally use umbrella whenever I go out in a sunny day. Even our place is more hot. our avg. temp will 38 c from feb to oct. ofcourse some times it may go up during apr to aug. we apply fresh tomato juice after coming from outside. and rarely we use sunscreen lotion. for children we use only caps. that is the only way how we can protect them from direct sun rays as keeping them at one place is a very diff job

Hi vedha It is good to use an umbrella while going out in the sunny days. It protects not only our head but eyes too. Through your response I got an info that tomato juice is good for the skin and I note it down in my diary dear. Some children do not like caps especially small children. They simply pull it off and feel uneasy if we put cap to them.

When I am in Canada all I use are a hat and sunglasses to keep the sun off of me, but when I am in Arizona, I burn in a minute because the sun is different down there. when I was down there my husband bought me some nice waterproof sunscreen to use, because we had a pool, and I was outside more often.

Hi Danishcanadian So you are enjoying in the pool owned by you outside in summer. Very nice to hear that. I too love to swim and stay cool in summer but we do not have that facility in my house as I stay in quarters given by the factory. But I definitely own one pool for myself when I build my own house

Hi vijayanths I think generally gents do not use any lotions or sunscreens but only ladies will. That is what I think. But i do not find any difference even after using sunscreen lotion. In Chennai, the weather is extremely hot during summer, for which one should use sun glasses to protect the eyes. Thanks for responding

Hi yugasini garu You are right. I am living in Bangalore. Though Bangalore is cool compared to other places, still we feel very hot during summer. I know about Hyderabad weather coz before my marriage I lived in Hyd. only. After marriage, i went to Delhi, Rajasthan, and finally settled in Bangalore. Though I use sunscreen lotion, I do not know how far it helps in protecting my skin from the hot sun. Thanks for responding

I prefer sunscreen spray with a non-greasy kind of formula as my skin is already oily enough. Umbrellas I do not carry around as I don't really like bringing anything along with me other than my bag. I have a tendency to misplace things when I carry too many of them and it's just too much of a bother.

Hi ladyhaly Indeed it is messy to carry so many things everywhere around. Even I am having the same tendency to misplace or forget things in a hurry and repent later on for loosing them. I do not know that sunscreen is available in non greasy kind of formula too. Thank you for this new information to me.

Yes, I also only choose non-greasy kinds, I hate feeling greasy, and especially on my face. It is sometimes hard to find non-greasy sunscreen though, but after having tried several different kinds, I have found some good kinds by now.

I wear strong sunscreen, as well as some light SPF foundation on top of it, which gives me double protection in the face. I also apply sunscreen to arms, legs and other bodyparts that are exposed to the sun at that moment, and I also wear sunglasses when I am out in the sun. That is pretty much it!

Hi puccagirl I think since you are applying strong sunscreen and on top of it foundation, your skin should be great. So far I was applying sunscreen to face and neck only but after seeing your post, i think i should also apply on arms and legs and other body parts that are exposed to sun.
