Somebody I know cries in their sleep around the same time every night. It's like somebody turns up the volume nob because at first it will be very faint and then it gets so loud that it can actually wake you up. But, in the morning she doesn't remember it. Is their something a matter with her or is it normal for a 6 year old to cry in their sleep?
Some facts about her crying:
It is around 10:30 PM every night
Her parents got divorced a year ago
She demands the most attention

This poor child needs some professional help! Crying in your sleep (esp. at the same time every night) is very telling because when we sleep, we aren't using any defense mechanisms to keep feelings or thoughts under control. Since she is so young and in the middle of a life changing event (losing the stability of living with a mom & dad who love her and each other), she probably lacks the skills to adequately understand what is happening, express her feelings, or know what to do about it. It's especially important for her to be able to express herself openly and without criticism. Therapy for kids this young can be difficult, but many strides are being made in this area - play therapy is a newer, up & coming method of dealing with kids' emotional issues on their terms. I will pray for this little one!

I read that it means that some suppressed hurt otr trauma that is coming up to the surface. And you can no longer suppress these emotions. They need do be dealt with head on. That is just what I read when I looked up Interpreting dreams.
