Do you think, loosing Virginity before marriage is a bad thing?

I heard people saying that - his/her would be life partner asked if he/she is virgin. It's just state of mind or something else that drives people to ask this question to his/her would be life partner. Does that matter? Is virginity a pre-requisite for marriage?

Hi Ajay, As you rightly said it is a state of mind and best left to the individual to srt it out. But in our society it becomes an issue especially where the girl is concerned....a boy's virginity is never questioned as far as I know, it is always the girl who is grilled...I feel that youngsters are smarter today and know exactly what they want rather than going after non issues - all the best and have a great weekend

Thanks Kiran for your honest response. Its always girl who is at the receiving end of these questions in India at least. Boys do have any such responsibility. It does not matter at all if you think logically. So enjoy life at the fullest without confusion. Live the moment :)

No here it isn't.It doesn't matter if you have had one partner or dozens or none , As Long as you are with the "one" you have been looking for now.

This topic has been discussed umpteen times but the debate remains always open. Well, it is good and bad, both.If seen from the medical science perspective, it is not bad. May be some orthodox type of people may say it a bad thing.

it cant really define it as good or bad its a little of both.. i heard the whole time while i was growing up that losing your virginity before marriage is a sin, blah blah blah, no matter how many adults told you to wait most people didnt listen. i dont believe losing your virginity before marriage is a bad thing .. it depends on how you look at it.. maybe you wait until you know for sure you found that right person so its that much more . some do it b/c of peer pressure, some to fit in, some just b/c they want to and some just b/c they felt like they lost control of there life and no longer care. either way society keeps trying to print it in everyones mind that losing your virginity before marriage is bad so thats where all the questions come from..
