from rags to riches........

Of course it had everything to do with there guts and ablities. To get to the top of any organization or career status you have to be intelligent, determined, work long hours, creative, have leadership skills, know how to prioritize effectively and a host of other skills. You also have to be smart about making the right contacts, and be able to effectively deal with alot of different personaities. All these things go into making someone a success. Achieveing the pennacle of your profession is 95% hard work and 5% talent. Why do you think there are 100's of thousands of starving entertainers while about 2% of them are multi millionaires. Sure there are great examples of brilliant talent, but there are so many more examples of not so talented people who are still extremely successful.

i think it is a combination of many things. of course, we can not take away the experiences, skills, determination and abilities of the person to transcend and overcome his/her situation. i believe it is called hardwork. there is also luck on that person's side. when things favor the person of good results, then s/he is more than lucky. s/he is destined to be great. all of us have the opportunities to be like one. well, except those who are already rich.

it always has something to do with their skills and abilities. all successful people have emerged as winners in their respective fields because of their abilities to grasp opportunities and they have the disciple to master their expertise. however, there is a saying that if you plant an apple seed it will grow into an apple not a mango tree. this is what we call destiny. if you are destined to be an apple tree, no matter what you do, you will turn into an apple and you cannot change it.
