is microsoft is better than other operating system?

well, microsoft is not the best choice. you need to make a decision about your task. if you are a designer, best choice is using Apple with their Mac Os. because mac os graphic is very good for designer. but, if you are a networker/ IT / Coder , best using Linux or other unix system, some like fedora, red hat, ubuntu, freebsd , mandriva, centos. because linux machine is very stable for network. but if you are just common computer user, better use microsoft :) have a decision ?

Well, I don't know, because I have used only Windows, but maybe it is, when so many people use it and don't use something else. I can be also wrong, but maybe you must try and tell us what do you think!

My friend said that other os is more charming n comfortable. It's the same as what u use, i guess. Nevertheless, it's quite difficult to use for new user, i think. Microsoft is more familiar due to lots of users of it. Their marketing is better than other os. Even though other os is better than Microsoft, it still lead the market due to its marketing strategy.

Microsoft has a very good brand name its been very popular since ages because Microsoft operating systems have very good user interface and not just user in fact its GUI that is graphic user interface.Talking about other Os you can opt for Mac, Linux, Ubuntu, Unix etc which are mostly for people who know a little bit about computer programming or are related to computer programming. Well now all these other OS also come with GUI, but they are little difficult in those you can customize them to a little higher level. And i feel if you just a normal person or who know not too much about computer then you should stick to Microsoft os windows 7 is great and windows xp is my fav.
