I don't know what the specific recipe was, but most ice cream cape recipes are very simple. Basically, all you do is soften the ice cream a little (let it sit on the counter a few minutes) and scoop it into 2 round cake pans. Press it down good and smooth it out and put it back in the freezer until it's hardened again. The kitkat would then be crushed and placed between the layers of the cake when you put them together. Generally they're iced with whipped cream. I recommend using the silicone cake pans, they're easier to get the ice cream layers out of. I've also done them with a layer of cake in between the two layers of ice cream. It's the same idea but with 3 layers, and you gotta make sure all of the cake pans are the same size. You also might have to cut the ice cream layers a little to make them the same size as the cake -- cakes tend to shrink from the sides of the pan a little when you bake them.
