Jealousy is a feeling that you have when you wish that you had what that person has. It can be expressed vocally or can be something a person just feels and keeps to oneself. Possessiveness on the other hand is the urge to want to be in control. It's more of an urge to want to know everything and be in control of a certain something/person even thought it's against that person's will

Possessiveness, is wanting to own or control, what you want or what others already have. Jealous, a feeling resentment because of another's success, advantage, etc. Even in your situation it is a choice to either feed into these actions, or just let it go. In away not only helping yourself to deal with people who are jealous, and helping them by not feeding into their resentment of what you can do. All is a Choice.
