What was the first foreign country you ever traveled to? What was the experience like? Would you go back? And would you recommend it to someone else? My first was New Zealand and it was the greatest trip of my life. I went as a student ambassador so we went on a lot of guided tours to different places, we said with the Maori and learned about their culture and they let us help cook dinner, we took a boat to the southern island and I visited the southern alps. It was in the southern alps that I got to climb to the top of some mountains and went abseiling for the first time. I got to stay with a family for a few nights and learned a lot bout "teen" life. We also went and saw the All Blacks (their rugby team) practice and they performed the haka for us. I keep in contact with people I met there and have been back 2 times now to visit since my first trip. I tell everyone they should try to go visit New Zealand at least once in their life if they are a huge fan of nature and adventure.

The first foreign country I went to was Mexico. My mother took us to the region called Baja California. I was so young and ignorant, I thought the whole country was beaches, with rocky mountains behind it. Of course, I've been back since, and there's a lot more to Mexico than its beaches. She got my sister and me jars filled with broken up pieces of opals in water and oil, they glowed like fire. If you took them out of the jars and let them dry, they were nothing, just ordinary rocks. I have no idea what happened to those jars, but I still have the memory.

The first foreign country that I traveled to was Great Britain, London in particular. I absolutely loved it there. I went there for a week with my mom, and I didn't want to leave. I am fascinated with history (I am studying to be a social studies teacher), so there history of england greatly fascinated me. My mom and I went to many of the main tourist attractions, such as the Tower of London, British Museum, the London Eye, and many other places. One of the highlights of my trip was seeing Phantom of the Opera in Her Majesty's Theatre. It is where Phantom was first performed, and the performance wowed me. I am planning on going back next spring to study abroad there for the semester. I can NOT wait to go back. It'll be the experience of a lifetime, for sure.

The first foreign country I went to was France when I was a child. I remember hearing the French language and liking it. I enjoyed seeing the buildings and the beaches. France is near to my home country. I used to live in the south east corner of England. It was a short hop over to France. The second foreign country I went to was Greece. I was fourteen years old when I went there with my mum. We flew there on a plane. The journey from London to Athens took three and a half hours. It was so very hot there. I liked the climate and the stunning looking beaches. I really liked seeing the buildings in Athens after we had been to Spetse Island. I visited New Zealand when I was twenty nine years old. I love it there.
