Losing your vision or losing your voice?

I'd choose to sacrifice my voice over my vision because I can always write on a piece of paper as an alternative form of communication. But if I lose my sight, traveling from one place to another would be extremely difficult. In addition, people could use this opportunity to take advantage of me. If you were forced to give up one of these senses, which one would it be?

I would sacrifice my vision. No one can take advantage of me because I would not let them. Without my vision my other senses will become stronger. I could hear or smell them from a mile away.lol I need my voice to ask questions and give answers. I want people to hear ME my voice. Me screaming at the top of my lungs will get attention. Not me slamming a pen into a piece of paper. And some people can read and read and never get it. ya know?....but SAY it to them and they will get it the first time. But I see advantages to your way also. This is just me and you did ask my opinion.lol I enjoy your questions. thank you

No, thank you for taking the time to reply. You have some pretty strong points there. You may not think people can take advantage of you, but without your vision, they can easily manipulate you. I've seen it in person. A blind woman was buying a cake for $20. She gave the cashier $30, but she only received $5 in return. When she asked the cashier how much he gave her, he said $10. People were yelling at the man for trying to trick the lady. And before you know it, he was fired! Justice was served!

excellent point. in that case i would only carry one dollar bills...so i would expect change back. and trust me...a blind person knows their change. problem solved. of course unless you are buying a car....then 20,000 one dollar bills might take a while.lol then i would just write a check. i have blind friends and they can write just fine...: p
