do you sometimes forget how lucky you are?

Yesterday i was kinda restless. I just thought i need a new digiman with the latest features. I got a slight problem, i don't have enough money to buy one so i was thinking which budget area will be affected just so i can produce the money right away. And i found the solution and i was able to produce the money. While i was still taking time before leaving the house to buy a new digicam, i browsed a little. And there i saw this big headline at Yahoo homepage saying Major Earthquake Hits Haiti..thousands died!!!!And when i read the details,i felt deep sadness seeing those victims and collapsed buildings. That news really dampened my intense desire to buy a new digicam. I just realized i'm lucky to have a digicam ,old yes but still works effectively. I am lucky i have a digicam, and i love my digicam and i don't need a new one. Prayers for Haitians.

Yes, I feel so guilty on that matter. There are so many things I want to have that I forget the essentials and other things that I have but most people don't. We are fortunate enough to be in a safe place at the moment. The earthquake in Haiti was a shocking news, and the victims deserve our help, our prayers and sympathy.

Sometimes I feel depressed about some problems with studying or something, or I have some little quarrel with my friend or I am not content with some things. Then I take some time and start to think about these problems! They are pathetic! I am worrying myself with empty issues! Some people don't have a bed to sleep in or they can't get their morning meal, even a drink of a fresh, clean water. People get killed in wars, they suffer from diseases. And I am bothering myself with some senseless crap. Millions of people would give everything to have a life that I live. If we could think more often that way, we would be happier and perhaps we would be willing to help other people more too.
