I am a Christian and my dad always told me that we as Christians need to focus on the similarties of our beliefs and come together as a body of Christ to bring more people to God. What is your thoughts about all the different denomations? I really do pray that God brings all the true believers from all demonations together for him and we can make a huge impact on the world.

One thing is for sure, there is only lone true Church and it consists of exactly those that truly accept Jesus as their personal saviour and submit to his will. all the best urban

I think different denominations work together more than what they used to. Like 40 years ago to change or marry someone from a different denomination was like scandolous. I don't know about other countries but here in Australia the different christian denominations including catholics and orthodox do work together to bring the message of Jesus. I see it as Christ is the head and the different denominations are just different parts of the one body. No one denomination has the perfect doctrines and you can debate theology and other things to the cows come home but we all bring the same message in the end.

I belong to a non-denominational church and I remember these discussions brought up in Sunday school and at home. I remember the elder saying how some of the demonations do not follow the bible correctly and that some add to the bible that shouldn't. I know the most common goal through all of them is that they all edify the Lord. Maybe one day we will all come together.

On matters of theology, that's never going to happen. Protestants will never accept most or all of what the Catholic Church teaches, and Catholics for the most part don't want Protestant doctrines, so that pretty much throws that plan out of the window. On the other hand if you're talking about participating in events such as pro-life marches, I'll be glad to march side by side with anyone, regardless of denomination.
