Childrens programs changing over the years

We bought some older Sooty and Sweep episodes on a DVD for our children a few days ago, just had them playing this morning, it was amazing to hear, oh thats not a boys job, and could we have a horrible noisy boy, oh you certainly look horrible and thats not a job for a girl all in front of a child audience, if a childrens TV presenter was to say this now, they would be booted off TV and named for being unkind to children just shows you the changes we have come through but also the way we have things so bound down that to speak out is also now condemned please if you can think of any carttons you used to watch, then have a look now see if you can see how they would never be allowed for children now
