Is there always an answer to prayer?

Prayers are meant to be answered. The Bible says, ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door shall be opened. But not all answers are yes. It might be Yes, No, or Wait. But either of the three, God answer our prayers according to His will and purpose...and for our good. Sometimes we may not understand His answer, but in His sovereignty....He knows what's Best!

I would like to believe that there is an answer to every prayer - it may not be the only answer we want to hear though. We just have to trust though that we will get what we deserve and God is planning on better things for all of us. I am sure that whether the answer to your prayer is yes, no, later... just keep the faith and still trust that everything will be alright.

I agree with the points you have raised - - you really need to keep your eyes open and your heart open as well to really understand God's answer to your prayers.

i think you are right in saying the three answers that God gives us when we pray and you are right in your statement. i work at a Christian non profit organization and am constantly seeing God's answers to prayer! we even pray over the photocopier when it acts up!

Hi! You already answered your question.. :) I think to every prayer there is an answer. You are absolutely right. Maybe that's why sometimes we feel like our prayers are not being answered, because His answers are not always what we are expecting. He can't always give us what we need because like what you've said, He knows what's best for us and He has wonderful plans for us. It may not always appear pleasant for us but in the end everything will make perfect sense. There's just a perfect timing for everything. God bless!
