Today on Lifetime the Grey's Anatomy episode "Superstition" aired. It discusses and deals with various superstitions: rituals, horoscopes, things that come in "3s" or "7s", etc... I was wondering what various superstitions mylotters have and whether they believe in superstitions or do you think that superstitions are bogus? Do you think that medical professionals should believe in superstitions? How would you feel if you doctor was superstitious or if your doctor laughed in the face of superstitions?

I don't really believe in any superstitions but my mother is very superstitous. My brother is a scientest and when he went to university all the med students there had very scientific cut and dry ideas about things. Most of them were atheists and didn't believe in superstitions. If my doctor did believe in them I would most likely change doctors as I think they are silly.

I'm not real big on superstitions. I suppose that they had to have come from somewhere though. Especially the ones that say things come in 3's and 7's. Those keep going because they keep happening to people. I don't have any personal experience with things happening as result of any superstitions.
