how do you comfort yourself during rough times? it's really hard to be optimistic when things are not going your way specially when you have lots of expectations that did not happen. during these times, we can't help but blame other people or ourselves, but there is nothing else that we can do but to accept what has happened and to learn from our mistakes.

I try and look at the positives of life. There are some things going right for me at least somewhat. They may be rather hard to see but it there is something that exists. If nothing else, things can always be worse. Much worse, in life. In the roughest times, there is always a bright light that can shine on the darkness.

When things don't go as what I have expected, I normally feel sad and frustrated so what I usually do, I go out and hang out with friends in order to forget my frustrations. I also try to eat a lot of delicious foods to get rid of stress. I sleep when i feel like I'm already exhausted and tired of thinking about such negative things. Or, I turn on my computer and do something about it just like what i am doing now. I actually had an argument with my boyfriend since last night and until now, we are still not in good terms. I am mad at him because he was blaming me for losing his card game last night. He played with his friends and unfortunately he lost quite big amount of money and he was blaming my presence for losing such stupid game. It was as if he was accusing me of bringing him bad luck. I actually want to go out now to relieve this stress but its raining outside so I just decided to stay and do something with this pc.

When things are going wrong and I start stressing out about them the only thing that can really pull me out of the near depression is just thinking about all of the things that are going GOOD. Yes, I may not have a lot of money right now, but my family gets fed, we have health insurance, and a place to live. Things could be tons worse, so stressing about something that isn't essential is a waste of energy that could be used for trying to fix things.
