What kind of horror movies do you like_ slasher_supernatural_classic or torture?

I personally like supernatural and suspense horror movies like american haunting, ring,grudge, the evil dead n final destination ect .I also like asian horror movies but i dont like at all hostel, SAW, wolf creek n Devil rejects type of movies because i think how can one enjoy watching people get killed or torn apart which is somewhat mentally disturbing to me, thats make u crazy its not fun .

I like classic horror movies, or horror movies based on paranormal activities, demons or exorcism. I don't know why ,but torture horror movies aren't my type, for ex: I liked Saw 1 and 2 ,but the following movies wore bad.
My favorit movie is The Exorcist from 1973.

The Exorcist is mine favourite also . I have watched all of its parts but i found the first part most interesting n watchable .Everytime i watch it it gives the same excitement _ And i agree with u about the movie SAW because i also watched its first two parts then found it againt my taste n now no more interest in the next parts . It means we are tension free people lolz just kidding :P

well some people go very scientific about this whole thing like they say violence is in our nature I mean they will refer back to the gladiator days where the coliseum was packed just to see people killed by other people in horrible ways and even killed by lions and other animals like that for pure entertainment the difference between now and then is that we watch fictional murders on television for our entertainment rather than actually go out and commit homicides just to see what it's like also movies and bring fantasies to life for us like aliens taking over the world or zombies ruling the planet.

Absolutely i agree with you .Watching torture is not very pleasant but common . And i have read somewhere the people who like to watch violence infact they are releasing their own stress even though they would never do that in their real life.But i think its a sick way to get rid of anger and tension. what say ....

I too like the supernatural and suspense horror movies because it's more thrilling. I don't like the slasher, torturing type because it's not really scary it's just inhuman and brutal not exciting or something like that. It's kind of sadistic to watch those movies where they show people being killed step by step. Eeew it gives me goose bumps only when I think of that

Personally, I love all horror movies. I like everything from blood to aliens to eye balls popping out. If you really appreciate horror movies you don't have a sub categorie inside of horror.

I like the movies you listed above. I like Stephen King movies, movies like Tremors, Scream, Jaws, Friday 13th, Freddy Kreuger, The Boogie Man, The Tooth Fairy, Silent Night Deadly Night, Vampire movies, werewolf, alien movies, I even like the old classics, but I do not like movies like Hostel, Saw, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Wrong Turn, etc. I don't like to watch torture movies. Those movies could actually be real. I like others like Children of The Corn, Jeepers Creepers, Storm of the Century, The Shining, The Stand,Constantine, Devil's Advocate, etc. I have several hundred horror movies. I'm a collector. My favorite movie of all time is Halloween. I have always loved that movie.
Some more favorites are Puppet Master, Wish Master, Witch Board, Warlock. I love horror movies.
