Faster Internet or DSL speed trick?

I am using ATT DSL that has a speed of 100mb but i dont see that is 100mb so if someone knows how to speed up your internet please share it with us in this discussion. Also please tell it in detail so i can perform the changes in my DSL lines.

100 mb? You sure? 100 mb is only delivered through fiber glass and DSL is as far as I know never through fiber glass. It might be that your network center on your computer said you're on a 100 mb line but it says that with almost anybody and it doesn't say anything about your speed. Better go to speedtest.net and if your speed is as high as you say it is you need to run the TCP/IP tool which optimizes your settings. All internet service providers tell you this. :)

really?.. well when i download thing th emaximun speed it was like 120kb/s so is there anything i cna do to increase it speed?

100 mbps you got is the speed connection from your pc to your ADSL modem. To know your actual speed on internet, you can try http://www.speedtest.net
With 120kbps? (maybe you mean 120 kBps?) when you're downloading, means you have more than 1Mbps connection. You can use "squid" to improve your internet speed, but if you want much more speed, then upgrading is an option :)

No matter what DSL you are using your internet speed cannot be 100mbps. I guess you might be referring to the speed showing when your internet gets connection it must be showing 100mbps right?? it shows for me also i m using 256kbps broadband plan that is referred to LAN speed not the connection speed. As you say about your download speed you might be using 1 mbps DSL things. But if what i said is wrong and your thing is 100mbps than its kewl for sure lol i don't thing 100mbps is there for normal people to afford yet.
For increasing your download speed you can use accelerators like IDM(Internet Download Manager) its an award wining download manger its a paid one buy it and you will be able to download real fast.

I don't believe you have 100mb internet connection.According to my knowledge the fastestin the world right now is 50mbps and not more than i think.i can understand your problem, when you point your cursor on the small computer icon on the taskbar it shows 100mb which is not right.You can test your internet speed on various sites.
