I'm not stressed out with my job since I enjoy and like doing it, but mostly I'm stressed dealing with people, especially those who can't able to met deadlines and who often make mistakes with their work and won't cooperate. How about you, where does your stress mostly comes from? Is it from your work, neighbors, friends, kids, love ones, etc.,?

Stress can come from every facet of life - work, family, society, self. To me, the stresses I encounter so far are from work, but come to think of it, most of them are self-induced. I have this habit of procrastination. As a result, I often delay things that I should be doing and when the deadline is approaching, I will start to freak out. If only I learn to conquer this habit.

Oh I see, it's a common habit and I'm also like that before, but I did able to overcome that kind of habit, so I'm sure you can do the same thing. You just learn to discipline your self. I'll share with you this helpful quotes " plan as though you'll be living for century, live as though you'll be leaving today." Always remember life is short, give your best each day of your life. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your weeekends!

At present, most of my stress comes from work but not because I don't love my job but because I have a co-worker that I somehow can't tolerate. I get stressed from trying to avoid this person because just being in the same room with him annoys the hell out of me. I am even seriously thinking of quitting because of him. Anyway, other than that, I have major stress issues if I have a family problem like if my parents quarrel, I do get affected big time.

Yeah, it could be very stressful to have a co-worker whom you can't get along. It could affect your job performance. I'd been through with that, but I never quit my job and learn to accept the person, as I don't want other people to control my emotions. And there's only two things that I need to choose, to give up what I love or let others take what I love. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your weekends!

Usually my stress came from a family problem. I am really feeling down every time that a member of my family is having a hard time. Sometimes i think that if only i can transfer her current situation on me. I dont really wanted to see them depress and lonely.

Well in that part it could be very hard to watch those people you love who's in hard times and there's nothing you can do even to lessen their pain. I think the only thing you can do is to have courage and never give in to your emotions, so you able to uplift their feelings. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your weekends!

My stress comes from life. There is good stress and bad stress. You must have balance. when You are out of balance thats when the bad stress will take over. Lower your expectations of those around you and enjoy the family and friend you have and balance out the stress. Mostly - lower your expections on yourself.

Hi careguarden, I used to be perfectionist myself. But over a period social stress caught up, and that started reflecting on my work. Based on my experience, I can say that people are not careless, per se. Something is generally eating them that makes them like that! Even when they try to ignore their work, and try to while away time joking or surfing it is a way to unwind the stress from other sources. There is no point in adding to that because it will only get worse! So try to address it at the basic levels, if you can. My stress comes from selfish expectations, shrewdness, harassing helpless people, cheating, rudeness, and such negative behavior towards me or towards others.

My stress usually comes from unreasonable, idiot, and narrow-minded persons. We can always find them sometimes on the streets, in our work place or even at home. I hope They will wake up soon for them not to spoil anyone's mood.

Like you I love my job. However, I get stressed out when my colleagues do not do their bit and I have to complete their tasks to meet deadlines. I finally found a way around that. I am the manager of a team and to motivate and spurt their level of work, I would discuss the agenda and deadline to be met. Then ask who would take on which part- let the team members chose their task and when they would submit it, failing which it would affect their appraisals and overall pay hike. It worked wonders.
