granulated white sugar, or organic sugar.....

Since Doctor Oz has said take everything white out of your diet I switched to Organic Sugar. I would think organic is better for you. I tend to use less of it then I did with the white sugar. I like it alot and believe anything organic would be better then something chemically enhanced.

I had earlier worked in head office of sugar factories in my State. While preparing sugar from sugarcane, the original color of sugar is dirty and sulphur chemical is used to whiten this dirty sugar. These days we hv started receiving brown colored sugar in the market. Since I do not like the color of this sugar, I hv never tasted it. I wonder if this sugar is called organic sugar?

I don't the difference, but i use white sugar and organic sugar is called as panavellam in my state and it looks like light brownish color and i eventually don't like it though it is tasty. i always prefer white sugar..

I am not sure that there is any difference between the two.I have a friend that is now having to cut out a bit of her sugar in take so she is now using those sweetners that you can get and she said that they are just as good to taste as the actual sugar she is also going to try to only have one sweetner rather than two as from next week as she wants to cut them out as well.Have you tried the sweetners as they must be ok if my friend has them as well as my mother.

Hi tinalb,Welcome to mylot!I think,brown sugar is the best because it is organic and natural.While white sugar are chemically refined and it is sweeter than organic brown sugar.Have a nice day!
