Have you ever been a subject teacher for your own children/child at school where you work or have your parent/s been your teacher when you were in school? I have not taught my own children as both of them were in different schools and not in the one I was working as a teacher. So let us know whether you were dealing with the kid as any other student or a bit partial towards him/her. My sister is a teacher where her kids also study, but she is totally in a different department teaching Special children and has no interaction with her own kids at school. Pl exchange your experience. Happy my lotting.

Hi yogambal, I used teach for some time in a school where both my younger children were studying. But I never got to teach them. My mother too was a teacher and I studied in the same school where she was teaching, but she never taught me except for a month when My class teacher was on a long leave and my mother took English and Social studies for my class too.She just treated me like the other students ...All the best and happy mylotting

Hi yogambal I have never taught my own child before since I am still single. :D but i ever taught my own friends. haha.. My friend is actually 3 years younger than me. I happen to teach him during his college lesson. Well, in the situation like that, I should just be professional where lecturer is a lecturer, friend is friend. That's a different status and different environment. Happy mylotting

Hi Yogambal, I am not working as a teacher but I am teaching my son at home. It is just helping his studies and monitoring his activities in school. When I was a student I had class mates as our teacher’s son/daughter. But they never showed any partiality in the class or I never felt like that. They treated their students equally. If they want they can give special attention at home but nobody likes to give special care for their kids in class.
