What you do when you get angry?

I start counting backwards from 100 to 1 or zero (slowly).

When I am angry then I think deeply to myself that now I am angry.In sudden time after I got a funny feelings on myself that I seemed to play a drama rool of a angryness.And my temper goes down.But some time I need to be angry and tempted then I dont do this.

it can b in two forms...il get hyper n il bang evrything in my way OR ill stay quiet n wont talk until im in ok moood

I don't really do much else than try to hold it back... and sometimes i can't so i start boxing at random objects (that can't break).. so.. i just end up hurting myself... so when it hurts so much that i can't do i anymore, i will calm down! Not a very good way to calm down... but thats the only thing that works on me!

Oh! that is really violent way of handling anger. You may find some better methods of controlling anger, kindly go through the responses given by others. Thanks for your response. PS: You have to be descriptive while writing the responses, not just 4 words. Please read the mylot guidelines.

I just sit and meditate for 15 to 20 minutes or until I feel I calm down.

Ususally play piano to calm myself. If that dont work, I keep a cheap plate and I throw them to the wall..... lol

Roztredtoes, That is so rude! Everyone deals with there anger in different ways. If you do not like the way someone else deals with their anger, find your own way. If their ideas do not agree with yours, it does NOT mean that" their elevator does not go all the way to the top floor" It only means that they are not you. If however you poke fun and taunt others for their differing ways and ideas, then you are a bully and DO have anger management difficulty. Most who do this are scared that others will think they are weak or different and have low self esteem. I hope that most people on this site are more open minded and less judgemental than you . I have my own ideas about who here is mental, but I would never say that to them if I did not know them on apersonal level

That is really violent method which is further harmful to your mind and body. Try to adopt simple methods like meditation, listening to favourite music, take a walk, read a book.

Don't mind but that's the sign of depression(as per researches)...and it leads to obesity and heart problems also.Just be careful.Sometimes we take life so lightly.

when i'm about to get angry, i think of happy thoughts so that i don't get angry. i don't really like getting mad because it wrecks my day ahead. and also i think to myself that if i get angry, i'm the one going to get sorry for it not the person i'm angry at. he could just listen and after that forget about it but i would still be thinking about it for the rest of the day. So the person would already enjoying the rest of the day while you would still be pissed at him/her. :)

When i get angry i just tell myself in ma mind like "dude calm down".but sometimes when im tooo angry then walking by i start hittin the walls or the poles.I feel that calms me down.

good choice. but when we get into the trouble i think almost of us cant help himself angering... so the best way to walk alone or hang out with some good friends tell him your feelings.

I stay quiet and switch off my mobile. I just keep quiet and when my temper goes too high i scream at my belovered.

When i get angry i usually take deep breaths and count to 10 slowly. I try to calm myself down inorder to take care of the problem. In a good manner. lol

For me when i get angry i don't think i will have a mentality to count numbers. Most of the time i try to take it cool and stay cool. But some time i loose my control and starts to shout.
