Whats the best band in the world? EVER?

Heyy I'm Matt and I'm a metal head.
For me the best band in the world has to be Machine Head, their raw ability and music has provided the youth of today such as me with hope of true metal coming back to the front line over pop and such.
BUT ENOUGH ABOUT ME - what's you're favorite band from any genre ? I wan to know... what is the best band ever in your own opinion to walk the planet earth

I've got three bands:
1. Led Zeppelin - simply because before everything else, there was Zeppelin
2. Deep Purple
3. Pink Floyd
Ok, I can't stop at just three.....no list of best bands would ever be complete without The Beatles, Queen, The Stones, Iron Maiden, Rainbow, Kansas, Journey, Bob Marley and The Wailers, Whitesnake, Heart, U2, Creedence CR, Van Halen, Rush, Yes, Genesis, AC/DC, The Eagles, Chicago and Black Sabbath. All of these bands had such influence throughout the history of music that cannot be denied. Honestly, I can't just say one band is or has been the best ever when so many of them are just so damn awesome!
