Yes it is absolutely possible. You retain dignity and self respect when you as a guy can be in control of a friendship or work related relationship with a lady without getting "intimately" involved. It's about discipline.

Of course! Why not? It's so not true that people from the opposite sexes cannot be friends. Then there wouldn't be the terms " guy friend" or "girl friend". It's important to have friends from both sexes so that you can have a better understanding of them, and it can widen one's horizons. It's not always romance that happens between a boy and a girl.

I have plenty of friends who are girls who are just friends and nothing more and have remained so for a number of years.I do not believe that a girl and a boy cannot be just friends, it is a normal and absolutely common relationship, there is no problem with it unless either of the parties or both feel otherwise.

Can a boy and a girl be friends? Absolutely. Can a boy and a girl contently be close friends when there is a physical attraction, I'm not so sure. I personally have males as all of my closest friends and my only female best friend became my girlfriend so I am not sure if a non-romantic female best friend would be possible for me. That being said, I'm sure it's possible for someone, somewhere. Particularly if one of them is a closetted homosexual.
