Teaching babies and toddlers to sign

I've been teaching my kid to sign since she was 9 months old and she can sign quite a few things now, including "please", "thank you", "duck", "star" and "sorry". She is 15 months old now and can say a few words, like Mama, papa, and bear. the pleasantly surprising thing is that she signed "sorry" without any prompting recently when she stepped on me hard and I went "ouch!!". did you teach your kids how to sign before they learnt how to speak?

Isn't she too young to be learning all that?? hehe ^_^ I dun have any kids of my own yet, and thus i cant say much.. hehe ^_^ But i think your child might be talented in some ways or other though.. Just at a tender young age of 15months, yet she knows how to say sorry, and reacting according to your reactions?? THat's really amazing!! hehe

Awwww, that's so cute! I think the signing is one of the best things to come around in todays world. I thought about taking a course in this just to teach people how to do it. I think it's wonderful. My kids are older so they really didn't have this around back then, but I wish they did. Keep up the good work, and before you know it, she'll be reading!

Hi..Parent are the first teacher for children. We could teach them since they just born.Do you beleive it?.There is many methode to teach them.By story telling, Singing or playing some games.as often as you touch her/him, call the names such as part of body. Since my son was 4 months old, I stick animals poster, etc on wall at home. So, he love to look at the picture and I teach him to call the names. Now, He could talk with many vocabulary.
