i have read alot of post about texas here, and some people (mostly texans, of course) have only good things to say. let's be real though. lol. it's texas for godsakes. i have been here for a few, and have found nothing here i like about it. don't be fooled by this tourist attraction thing that texas try to boost up there state with. it's all lies. there is very little to do here. the things you can find to do, you can find anywhere. the only thing they do here is go to bars and listen to country music. the bars all close at like 12 am. the city shuts down at like 6pm. after 8, you can find no one in the streets. they are all at home doing what texans do best...eating (the fattest state in the u.s). in a boring state like this, i also found myself eating my butt off. by the way, fat is the norm here. if you are not fat, most people don't consider you attractive. although i don't know how you can keep fatness in a hot place like this, with this deadly heat. why would you even wan to go to the rodeo (texas' one and only big attraction), so that you can pass out and end up in the hospital..as i did many times here. the people here are backwards, unprogressive, slow, unresponsive, and two faced. they come to you with that "southern hospitality" crap and it's only to be messy and F.O.S. this is the loneliest boring place in the world to live. nothing grows here really. maybe the heat kills the plant life it very seldomly rains. there is always some kind of drought. oh, and if you ever want to know what nazi germany was like, come to texas in 2010. lol. don't believe the cost of living bull either. they get you in utility bills and food. the state was messed up long before bush came here, so you can't blame it on him. this is a post for all those people who have had or has the misfortune of living in texas. tell me all you hate about it. i KNOW i can't be alone on this.

I've never been to Texas. But I think the movie Texas Chain Saw Massacre would discourage me from going there. And yes, it's really hot there, just like a desert. And the time the stores close scare me more. Thanks for that info.

yes, life shuts down at 6pm to 7pm. things are so spread apart, depending on where you live. you almost have to take a grey hound to get food. beware. if you ever had to move here for any reason, always keep a back door open. don't get comfortable, cause you could get trapped. they don't pay any money, and you will find yourself spending everything you have on bills, and won't be able to get out.

you are not happy in texas are you? (i am very perceptive that way). to be honest why don't you move? i haven't been there so i can't really comment but surely it can't be THAT bad? i have met lots of texans though, and only a couple of them were fat.

the moving thing is in effect. and yes, it is that bad. many people came here for the superbowl, where janet jackson had the "wardrobe malfunction". they jazzed houston up so quick to make it look like a real happening city and failed. everybody i talk to from out of town said that they would never move here in a million years. after everyone left, houstonians were stuck paying the big bills for all of the new remodeling they had the immigrants throw up in three seconds flat, just to impress everybody. hotels when from $40 a night to $200 a night. they really took advantage of out of towners, but they were fooled and went right back home to leave texas to boring texans. lol. thanks for the input. your comment is appriciated and respected.

I Never Was in Texas, Even in US. But I Think All States Of America Has Their Own "Pluses" and "Minuses"... I'm Everywhere is Some Good or Some Bad... Our Life is Like This... Not Always We Feel Bad, not always - Good...

all states do have their plus and minuses, but this one is the worst. i have been to other states some i like more than others, but i always found something to appriciate in all of them that i have been too. this one is the absolute pits, and the people here suck soooooo bad. very very depressing and i have never experienced this anywhere that i have ever lived.
