but..3 quick cheers for Obama.. Whew! Gut wrenching..As to the reason for the fuss and bother..I did my taxes this past week, online, with one of those sites that asks questions and, thankfully, does all the interpretation and math stuff. Now, according to my statement I'd paid $43 and a handful of change this past year, had actually paid more into the forced retirement plan..Hey! No giggling!..I'm so far below the national poverty level that 'Wage slave' is my assigned mantra..But because of my poverty sub-classification and all the 'poor boy' tax breaks I'll get $900 in a couple weeks..Coulda floored me!..57 years old and the government is giving something back, finally.. The excitement is short-lived..being told, when 57, that the social security stuff will go broke in 5 years.. But then again, the world's gonna end in two years so..(shrug) A poverty perk..Who'da thunk it? Enjoy!

Good for you on two counts! First, good that you're getting something back for a change and second, good for admitting Obama may deserve propps for something even if you obviously aren't a supporter. Annie

Don't worry about social security going broke. The youngsters will have to work harder to support you. The keep raising the age when a person can collect so your biggest problem is when you do reach 65, you won't be eligible.

And how does this year compare to last year's refund? George Bush gave me a refund every year. I don't think I'll be thanking Obama for that but then I haven't done my taxes yet. IF I do get more than I usually get back THEN I might have something nice to say about him ..... finally.
