a funny connection problem

hi friends.the story goes like this.
[b]my computer connection was slow at one time.like 8KBps .strangely i was ok with it because even if it takes 30 minutes to download a 3MB connection,i can do other stuffs in the mean time.
the problem now is my connection speed is 75KBps.
guess what the problem is?
while downloading,it rockets upto speed of 130KBps and when it reaches around 85% download,it stops and doesnt download further.
when i click the resume button,it starts from the beginning
so i heard about this download manager which can download after fixing broken connection and that file is merely 3MB
but the funny thing is
MY COMPUTER IS NOT EVEN DOWNLOADING THAT 3MB FILE.it lowered its speed to 2kbps and breaks before reaching 7%.lol.[/b]

there can be some other problem too. but as far as i can guess. first check out if the file you are downloading. the website where from you are downloading provided the facility to resume your download. or it can be the problem related to your hardware also. it is not able to right or some other. try to download some other stuffs then check.
you can go for orbit downloader.

well as i said everytime it stops,i resume it again and it will stop so that must mean that downloading site have resuming facility.
as for orbit downloader,its not working that well with my firefox.besides it looks more like video downloader rather than a file downloader.
but problem solved.found something that can download at over 50kbps consistently and downloaded 12 files in 20 minutes.lol
