I have a very hard time getting to sleep. I am now on a sleeping pill from my doctor. I would tell you try to drink a calming tea a half hour before bed. Once in bed, if you can have a light on for about a half hour to an hour, try picking up a book and start reading before you fall asleep. I still have to pick up a book and read even though I take a sleeping pill. The reading will make your eyes tired and it will also relax you. Some times when you get up in the middle of the night just get up out of bed do a little walking around your house or apartment and then go back to your bedroom. You may feel tired again when you hop back in bed. That's what I can tell you. I hope a least one of them will work for you.

Yes, maybe it would be good for me to get out of bed and do something instead of twiting and turning. Thanks.

Maybe you are not in a good mental condition. You should try to relax yourself, such as doing sports and listening to music. Earlier,i always had nightmare,as a result,in bad condition in daytime.I followed a friend's suggestion, and now it much better than before.

Sometimes, I also wake up in the middle of the night and not being able to fall back to sleep. My mother tells me to count sheep, but I just find it does not work so well on me. Sometimes I will drink some warm milk. It is said that this could help you to fall aleep.

This is a common problem. It indicates that you are on the edge of a major depression.
