I often wondered how a person could eat any one food every day of their life. I need variety. Some days I eat pasta (noodles), other days bread, potatoes, beans. But no way rice every day. Do you ever get sick of rice?

YES, definitely sick of rice. My parents even eat it with bacon and eggs. For dessert, they'll eat bananas or mangoes and rice.

Here's a revolutionary thought. Why not cook something else? You can cook can't you? If not, the internet is full of great recipes.

Hi ladyfirst, I had been to your place before. I really enjoyed the foods available there as well as the beautiful landscapes there. I know very well that Vietnamese and Malaysian are having rice as their daily meals. Yeah, rice is our staple food. May be I have been taking rice since childhood therefore I love rice very much If just taking dishes without rice, seems like the dishes are not so yummy. Further more I feel that my stomach is still empty even though I have taken considerable food. To me there is no complain totally if rice and dishes are served together as the daily three meals But it's nice to have some changes in the daily food to make our eating style rather diverse. So sometimes we would like to have curry or fried noodle. Dumpling or steamed bun with delicious mixed ingredients will be served on the dinner table once in a while. Take care and happy posting

Other than rice why not introduce some famous local Vietnam dishes here! I hope we can enjoy eating the yummy dishes together with rice in case we have the chance to visit your country again. I love the fascinating and unique seascapes as well as the seafood in Halong Bay. Yeah, the scenic site there is quite similar to that in GuangXi China. It’s really an attractive scene to see people selling vegetables, fruits, etc in their boats there. By the way, thanks for selecting mine as the BR.

Hi, ladyfirst. I eat mostly meat, like chicken. I may eat leftovers from the night before. I eat vegetables, fruit, meat and something sweet to snack on. I don't eat rice everyday. I eat what I can get my hands on. Which is anything that is appealing and fresh from the fridge.

Philippines is just like any other asian country, we love rice here. Actually love is an understatement. We cannot live without rice, it is a staple food in our table, and it is also the number one enemy of those people who are trying to lose some weight ( like me. ). Hehehehe. We seldom eat without rice, and when we do, we feel like it's really not complete...

Can't live a single day without rice on my meals. Though I can eat merely fruits on lunch, still it doesn't give as much energy than combining it with rice.

I tend to eat a mix of noodles and breads for starches. One thing I have about four times a week is peanut butter. It takes the place of meat a couple times a week, and the other days I have peanut butter sauce on meat and noodles for lunch or dinner. I'd be lost without my peanut butter!

I eat rice almost everyday. I don't eat rice when I go to trips. During trips, I usually eat at MacDonald's.
