I love singing and doing covers and post it at youtube, although I know that I'm not a good singer. haha. Well, I think that I can do better with male songs with rap, but my friends think that my voice suits female's songs better. However, I can't really sing female songs because they're of high notes, since they said that I sounded like 13-years old teenage even though I'm 24 now!

Okay. So the problem is, you can't sing those female songs? I have 3 tips for you. 1. They said that you sound like 13 years old instead of 24. Since you can sing that 13 year old voice range, you may try to stick in that kind of range. You always have the option of adjusting the tone of the song that can fit to your range level to avoid straining,or... 2. You can use VOICE COMPRESSION. Voice compression is the compression of the vocal chords to avoid straining of the voice box. In this method, try to exercise your voice through saying "ga" as in "gaw" (not "gah") in a do-re-mi tune so you can exercise your nasal area, and your head tone. Notice when you say "ga", the nasal area is now the facility of your singing process. Sing it as "gaw" (just like pronouncing the english word "Jaw") not "gah", because "gaw" rests your throat compared to "gah" which exerts more energy when mouth is overly-wide opened and lets you use more air. Then, try to elevate into higher notes, you may notice that your range can go higher than the normal range you have. If you want more info on this you may visit youtube with this address: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lscpzKGIVcE 3. VOCAL MIX, this is the mixture of chest voice and head voice. When you sing low, the facility that you are using is your chest, then if you shift high, you will be using your head voice. To shift smoothly from chest voice to head tone, try the lip-rolls or the "ma" with the tune of do-re-mi. If you reach your head tone, notice that it sounds frail or soft. Keep that head tone (falsetto range) and add up chest air. The the sound is a little pushed and it sounds only a little different than the normal singing voice when you sing. People may not notice it as falsetto because the sound is strong and rich.
