Working abroad?

Lithuania

I spent 4 summers working abroad and it's been a great time. I saved money for my studies, traveled many wonderfull places and met people from all over the world. I've finished my studies now, the economic situation is really difficult in Lithuania and although I have a job the money I make is not a reasonable income to stay here... Is any of you working abroad now? I mean, is it worth it to go abroad for a long time..like a period of 2 to 5 years?

WOW, that is a wonderful experience. I am working on my own country, but I think it's interesting to work abroad. I am thinking of traveling to Germany when I get enough money. I will stay there a couple of year if possible. Haha! It depends on your own choice, working abroad or go back to your own country. My opinion is stay at there for a while, and go back after learned a lot of useful technology.

I believe that there are a few things to consider in going abroad or working abroad for a period of time. First that I would consider would be the pay if I work abroad. If the pay is more or less the same from the pay that I earn here, I would rather stay and continue with my job here. Second is the people that I would leave behind. If i can manage the loneliness and my missing them, then I would go. But If I cannot and would end up going home from in a short period of time then I would rather not go abroad. Third is the foreign place where I'm gonna work and stay. If the economic situation and the environment and the people are okay then it would be fine. But if its the other way around, it would be best to stay.
