what model are suitable?`

well, i am a kind of people who really likes photos and im planning to buy a dslr cams but struggle to find out which models are suitable for beginners... I like my cam to be easy to access but have a high quality pictures, i know, it must something to do with mega pixels... i like my cam to be a long partner cam since i will value it as a treasure so i wanted to choose at least it may not be the best but had a feelings of no regrets... to the photographers out there.. please help me and give some advise on how i can capture a good view... thanks...

meipan, have you considered a point & shoot model with manual controls? An SLR can be overwhelming for a beginner. There are some high-MP point & shoots that take excellent pictures, and if you get one with manual controls like some Canon or hp cameras, you can familiarize yourself with managing the settings and learning how they work before committing to a DSLR.

thanks for your response... but.. i am a kind of person that i can only buy once... that's why i wanted to buy a dslr than slr... i hope you can advice me some...
