Do you classify persons who wear glasses as nerds?

No, not really. It doesn't mean that somebody wears glasses that they're automatically a nerd. It just means that they need to wear glasses in order to be able to see better. I think that that's all it really means.

I wear glasses and have been told quite a few times by people that when they see me the first impression they get is that of a nerd. I guess people have just been conditioned to think that way. May I need to change the type of glasses I wear

A person that wears glasses has poor eye sight. He or she is not necessarily a nerd. A pair of glasses can indeed make a person look more intelligent than without glasses. When a person wears glasses he or she looks totally different without his or her pair of glasses. My friend had glasses for fifteen years and then he got contact lenses. He looked so very different that he used to. I got reading glasses at the age of ten and my eye sight got worse. By age 18 I had my glasses on all day. At age twenty one I got contact lenses. I now wear daily disposable contact lenses. I wear my glasses when I get up in the night time.

I wear glasses. But I don't think I'm a nerd although I wish I were since nerds have great reputation as intelligent beings. I can get by not having the weird aspect though.

not really, I don't mind people wearing glass or not even to regard them as nerds. On the contrary, I think some of my friends wearing glasses look better than not, and sometimes a man wearing glasses looks rather sexy,don't you think so?

No just because you wear glasses doesnt mean you are a nerd. I wear glasses and i surely am not a nerd. maybe a gaming freak but not a nerd1 You can make a statement such as this. It not right. There are some nerd in my school who dont wear glasses but we stil consider them a nerd. A nerd is characterized by what they do and not by glasses. And hey nerds are smart so you may tease them now but later in life when they are successful they will be laughing at you.

i think glasses suit diferent people in different ways and to say that you are a nred because of glasses is plain daft ,someone where wears glasses they are this and that i don t think so

Not really. It's just stereotype that people have. And nowadays, wearing glasses is part of fashion, and and, there are nerds without glasses! hahaha~
