I'm having trouble with my USB wireless LAN card.

It's made by ralink. It comes with a software driver CD. That installs OK. Butfor the plug and play part, when I insert it, it starts to install, then I get a message that says an error occured during installation. The INF or the device set or element does not match the specified install class.
Does anyone know what that means and how I can fix it? I gotno answers from yahoo answers and nothing from support yet either.

Try uninstall all the driver and software. Put in the cd, reinstall the driver and software. Then plug in the usb wireless, give it some time to detect and configure your usb card.
If it still not working, try it in another PC. If it still the same and not working, then whether your driver is corrupt, or your device is not working anymore.

Plug and Play, does not need any software to run, its just plug and play, if ur OS has been installed properly , then there is no problem in the boot, try to replace the device , take it out and insert it again, restart and it will be working..
