Who's a better all time pro wrestler, The Big Show or Kane?

This is a tough call but I'd have to go with Show. He is a multi-time World Champion in both WWE and WCW while Kane is only a one time World Champion. What about you?

That is a tough one. Both of them have days where I enjoy watching their work. Them both of them have days where I am not the biggest fan of them. There was a period where the Big Show was one of the better big men in wrestling. I thought he would be the next Big Van Vader, who was my favorite big man competitor in the history of wrestling. I think there are times where Show has been great. His first year as WCW had some good matches with the likes of Randy Savage, Ric Flair, and Sting. He was a solid big man heel for only being a rookie. After he lost the WCW title, it was all downhill for a while, as he gained weight and stopped caring. 2002-2003, well mostly because he was in there with Brock Lesnar, who was awesome. His run in ECW in 2006 was highly underrated all things considered. Over the past couple of years since he returned, he's been pretty much great with some excpetions. Kane has been inconsistent a lot over the years. I think that is more to do with horrible storylines that Kane has been involved in than lack of talent in the ring. I think Kane's botched heel turn in 2003 was something that hurt him for a long time when he lost the match. The one where he should have been set up as a monster heel challenger for Goldberg by destroying everyone in his path. Instead, he was made to look weak against Shane McMahon and then shunted in a three way match with Triple H, as an afterthought. Then he had bad storyline after bad storyline since then with the possible exception of his tag team with the Big Show and he had a couple of underrated matches against Umaga as well in late 2006. Kane isn't bad in the ring. He just has been given a lot of shoddy stuff that makes him look worse than he is. If nothing else, the fact that he is endured and can still be a somewhat credible upper of the midcard guy at the drop of a hat will help him out. So the bottom line is, I'm going to have to go with the Big Show. I can name off more good Big Show matches then I have liked in recent years than matches that Kane has had in recent years. Which is a shame, as while I like Kane, the Big Show just seems to be a better act in the ring.

My pick is Show. Big Show has played both fan-favorite an non-favorite role and he did well in both so far. Kane is good but I think he needs to change his role to something new. May be non-monster role? like Edge does... It will be a bit different and interesting to watch..

In terms of kayfabe, Kane was drained dry of everything that made him iconic the moment he was unmasked several years ago. Since then, he has sort of just plodded along, not really doing anything particularly memorable. Without the mask, I think Kane's character is just plain and generic, and he is way less intimidating now

I personally prefer Kane. For someone who, has kicked many butskies over the years, put over less talented people, put over more overrated people like HHH, Cnea for example, he hasn't complained, and hasn't taken much time off. So why has he lost what he should have!! Im surprised people like the Undertaker for example, who Kane has worked with a lot, hasn't tried to get Kane something worthwhile. Eitherway, when it comes to tag teams, Kane and Undertaker beats the rest. Yes Big Show ia one of the best Big Men, even Ric Flair said so, in his HOF Induction Speech, but I'd go Kane all the way. His ECW Title reign, was better than Show's, but as is with Kane, he gets terrible storylines, as in, the feud with Chavo was terrible but, atleast he didn't drop it too him, and to be honest I wasn't surprised he won it at WM. Why the WWE hasn't used him better is a travesty. Maybe he'd do better in TNA, although I can't see him ever going there.

I would think the Big Show only slightly. His ability to cut a promo and do comedy really helps him out and gets him a bit further ahead. Though there is much to be said about Kane who has worked as the same character and remained over with the crowd for over a decade. He is rarely injured, and he helps people get over in the process of his matches. Yeah he only had the belt for one day, but a lot of fantastic wrestlers never even got the while in WWE.
