well this being a test match,we have to concentrate mainly on the bowling attack. starting with the home team, zaheer will be riding high after his series against bangladesh on a non-assisting pitch so no problem with him. our selectors will always go with 2 pace and 2 spin attack so it has to be either ishant or abhimanyu mithun which could be intresting. like everyone else,i am also worried about our spin attack.i believe amit mishra is must because he is the one bowler who tosses up the ball even if he had given punished brutally but thats how you get wicket. well as for bhajji, either he should perform or should be dropped for a while. now for the visitors. the one bowler who did a good job with the ball is dale steyn.cant remember how he bowled to the top order but manages to wrap up the lower order very quickly morkel is someone who depends on pace and bounce which he wont be getting from indian pitches so he has to try a lot harder. we know that parnell can bowl good yorkers but never sure how he will perform in indian conditions but the one bowler who i have been waiting for is johan botha. well here is the reason. our batsmen are the best against spinners.no doubt about that but they have one major weakness. they never play a spinner that well if they are playing him for the first time. a lot of examples from mendis to swann to kreja.botha played only one odi series against india so he will be a threat atleast in the series given the indians record with rookies. batting is very evenly matches so nothing to go there. BUT DONT WORRY.IF INDIA LOSES THE FIRST MATCH,WE CAN PREPARE A DUSTY PITCH IN EDEN GARDEN AND FINISH OFF THE MATCH WITHIN 3 DAYS TO SQUARE THE SERIES.
