How long is a piece of string?

One of the great mysteries of life: How long is a piece of string? I haven't come to a conclusion as yet.

Its one of those questions where the answer obviously varies a little bit, how long do you want it to be I guess?

Double the length from one side to the middle or twice as long as half the length.

Exactly! Or you could divide it into quarters and multiply by four I suppose.
