Do you brush twice a day?

I brush my teeth just once a day. But it is a common thing that we should brush twice a day. When I was doing my 10th grade, my biology teacher told that we must only brush once a day because our tooth will loose its natural color. I don't know whether it is true or not, so I would like few suggestions from you all friends. Your response will be appreciated. Thank you, have a nice day.

Brush twice a day, the aim is to clear the mouth, teeth and gums of bacteria and build up of plaque, this can only be achieved by frequent brushing. If you use a normal toothpaste there is no risk of damaging the colour of your teeth. Don't forget to floss frequently too as this prevents build up of bacteria between the teeth where often gum disease starts. I have just been to the dentist for a root scale and planing, my dentist mentioned that looking after the gums was just as important as the teeth in preventing tooth loss.

I try to brush my teeth 3 times a day. Im not sure about the must to brush once a day. I feel like my teeth are dirty if I dont brush it after meal. So hipefully we can have some scientific proof about this.
