Do you like pets?

I hate keeping a pet animal in my house. They just make mess around the house. I just wanted to know why people love their pets a lot? My friend's friend has a pet dog named 'Dimon'. He loves his pet so much that he spends his free time always with him. I did not find any thing interesting in that dog. May be all the owners love their pet and all the pet love their owners.
Can you tell me what is so special in having a pet?

i love having many pets..because taking care of them is teaching me to be very responsible and seeing them grow and happy is a big accomplish for me...
and when i play with them and seeing them makes me very happy...
why wont you try to have a pet...fish would be a good start.. you just feed and clean the acquarium..

But you have to spend a lot for the dog food right? If you buy a new dog, it will cost you a lot. And you have to take care of it all the time. You should take it for walk, take it for toilet, make her take bath, etc. If you forget to take for for toilet, that's all, you will have to clean your house. I think it's a tension keeping pets.
