Too ugly to work?

Have you seen the show Ugly Betty? It's about an ungly girl who makes a great success in her career just because of her hard working and being nice to everybody else. However, at the end of the show, she turns to be a very beautiful and charming girl. It seems an happy ending for everyone. But in fact, there is no such a lucky girl. Many businessmen chaim that "beauty" is a necessary commercial asset. Costumers prefer to deal with a good-looking receptionist. And other employees also like to spend their time in the company with the company of a beautiful woman. Do you think beauty should be taken into consideration in women's career? If you're a girl, will you wear make-up in your office? If you're a boy, will you prefer to work with a beautiful girl?

ever see the movie "shallow hal?" this is what people should be like. you should see the inner beauty of people. too many times those who are not so aesthetically pleasing to the eye are turned away for stuff , while some blonde bimbo with big boobs is put on display even though she thinks New Mexico is another country and wouldnt recognize a typewriter if it bit her on the a--. i wouldnt and dont wear makeup because quite frankly- im allergic- to perfume and jewelry too. and i still have guys falling at my feet. its confidence and kindness ( and maybe planters cashews? lol)

Ah, Betty la Fea. A wonderful, short Colombian novela drawn out entirely too long by ABC. Personally I like to wear makeup and it doesn't really effect how people listen to me, I have very aggressive debate tactics and I always read up on everything. It's intelligence that counts not looks. Basically if you ACT like a bimbo you will be treated like one, you have to show that you know what you're talking about and that you will not back down. Looks don't matter if you are confident.
