I don't know about Windows 7; but when I bought a new laptop that came with a Vista, but it was very very slow; then a comp savvy friend told me that Vista was very slow so I removed it and installed Windows 98 which is def much faster - that was before the windows 7 now once you have installed 7 let me know thanks

It depends on your system configuration and personal tastes. Personally, I hate Vista and Windows 7. But one of my friends just loves Windows 7!!! I currenty use Ubuntu. Its a linux distro. I think Vista adn Windows 7 are making things complicated. Vista uses your grpahcis card directly! No other opertating system does that!!! That measn you'll have a slower computer. I use windows xp too..............if you're just interested in the eye cand yand cool looks, just downloa a transformation pack or vista theme for your Windows xp. Things are better that way - you get all the eye cany and you can revert it at any time you want. Well if you're the geek type, and loves computers, go for a linux distro. And Ubuntu is LEGALLY FREE.

It really depends on what type of user are you. If you are like me who multi-task eg: running an online game, downloading, mylotting, and blogging while watching a movie all at the same time i would suggest you downgrade to windows xp. But if you don't feel like your pc is slow while using vista i suggest you'd stick with it. but if you want to venture to windows 7 it has more capability a bit faster than vista but make sure your pc can support windows 7 and be patient with some of the drivers you may not find it easily if your components are outdated. Do a research on your pc components before you change from one OS to another. I too would try Windows 7 after I upgraded my RAM to 4gig. It's really your choice and which u are more comfortable with :)

Everyone I know hate vista, but I actually like it. For me its gone back to basics in a lot of ways and its actually much better for me. Its a lot smoother for me and I'm not anymore frustrated with it then I was with any other operating system. I like the ease of use and the ability to go back to certain basic screan fuctions that made the interface more user friendly for me.

if you currently use vista then i strongly recommend you to shift to windows seven. win7 has a lot of feature updates when compared to vista. also it has a more stable kernel that vista, it also utilizes your processing power and ram properly. If you are using windows xp, you can still upgrade to vista provided your pc has the necessary hardware to support win 7
