What is SATAN exactly??

hi guys, this name has come across me many times.but i never really understood wat it is.can anyone plz englighten me on this topic.i'l be grateful to u..

Satan was a former angel of God. The best in fact, but he was so envious of God for all the things he can never be as an angel. So he resorted to being the most evil so that he can lead like God, only the opposite way.

Maybe God him/herself created competition in the form of Satan, so that he is always on his/her toes and does not get lax in own achievements!! As it is only competition that brings out the best - who knows!!

I think God and Satan are the two sides of the same coin. You cannot have one without the other- like feelings you always have a negative and positive feeling.

Very well said. I totally agree with udayrao2. Satan is sometimes deemed as Devil. There are many forms of Satan in different cultures.
