My kids are very excited that they get to go to grandma and grandpa's house for a sleep over tonight. They have been talking about it for days and first thing this morning when they woke up, they asked me if it was time to go yet, LOL. I thought that it was the cutest thing in the world. I had to tell them that it wasn't time yet cause we still have to finish packing their overnight bag to take with them. So now I am rushing to try to get a few things done before we head out. I am excited too cause it means that my husband and I get some alone time, which has been a long time coming. We have part of our night planned out but the rest is just going to be for us to do whatever we want to tonight. What about you? Do your kids get excited when they are going to a sleep over? Do they go to sleep overs a lot? Do you make a list of instructions for the people they are sleeping over at? Why or why not?

My oldest has spent the night at several different places since she was pretty young - her choice - I don't make any lists *lol* Our middle child doesn't like to sleep other than home so she stays home instead even if I would like that she did once in a while since she's turning 11 this year. My youngest likes to sleep over, but seldom does. For me it's most important that they choose to sleep over and I'm not forcing them to do it. I also thinks that it's my job as a parent to take care of my children (I'm not saying you're not! But I have friends that leave their kids to grandparents almost every weekend) Have a great day and happy my loting

If ever my kid would like to sleep with her grandparents(husband's side as mine are all gone),then why not. It's a good bonding for them. Besides, it will make grandparents to be excited, too. It gives them purpose. I would talk to them about her likes and dislikes, esp. in foods. But so far this has not happened yet.

When my kids were younger, I looked forward to the nights that they would spend at their grandparents house. I knew that they were safe and that they would be well taken care of and yes, the alone time that I rarely got was great! Enjoy your night!

My daughter is 3 and I only trust certain people to have her for a sleepover. When she goes to my parents' house I don't send a list of instructions because my mom has raised 4 of us. I also think that a one night visit with grandparents should be treated as special. That means I turn a blind eye if I hear that my daughter skips supper but gets an ice cream treat. If the stay is longer than one night my parents no better than to do stuff like that too often. They would be the ones that would have to deal with her behavior and sick tummy!
